Overview of Cathy Doll Sunscreen

Cathy Doll Sunscreen L-Glutathione Magic Cream SPF 50 Whitening 138 ml, is a trending Thai Sunscreen from Cathy Doll brand. It has the unique L-Glutathione ingredient. It has been all over Skincare stores and pages lately. Cathy Doll brand originating in Thailand is a respectful Skincare brand. I first got mine because I thought the packaging was so cute and I also was curious about the fuzz. So I purchased mine at a local drugstore. This sunscreen in particular has some differentiating features that I will get into in this post.

Cathy Doll Sunscreen L-Glutathione Magic Whitening SPF50+

Packaging:

Cathy Doll Sunscreen plastic tube comes in a unique pink with white dots pattern. And the cap is very pink. It contains 138 ml of product, even though it is a face sunscreen. Which lasted me all summer. It lasts for 12M after opening the cap the first time.

Features:

Cathy Doll Sunscreen is a white chalky paste, the texture is light-weight and non-greasy. But what I don’t like about it, is that it takes a while to blend in with the skin. but once it blends it gives a nice glowy finish.

The part about it being a whitening sunscreen is absolutly true, as you can tell from the images. In fact–too true. So if you not into looking extra glowy white, this one is not for you. As for the scent, it is not bothering me, just a fresh summer scent.

Another differentiating feature is that like nothing else I’ve ever used. this sunscreen gives a cooling sensation on the skin once used and a while afterward. At first, I thought I was having an allergic reaction, turns out it was only the cooling effect. But if you gonna use it at first, put some of it on hand to test first.

It is paraben-free and without mineral oils. The star ingredient in Cathy Doll sunscreen is L-Glutathione. This ingredient is responsible for the whitening effect. L-Glutathione is a powerful antioxidant naturally produced in the body, made up of three amino acids: glutamine, glycine, and cysteine. It plays several important roles in maintaining good health:

  • Antioxidant: It neutralizes free radicals and protects cells from oxidative damage, which can slow down aging and reduce the risk of chronic diseases.
  • Skin Brightening: L-Glutathione is well-known for its skin-brightening properties. It inhibits melanin production, leading to a more even skin tone and reduced hyper-pigmentation.
  • Detoxification: It helps the liver detoxify harmful substances, including heavy metals and pollutants.
  • Immune Support: It strengthens the immune system by supporting white blood cells’ function.
  • Anti-Inflammatory: It reduces inflammation, which is beneficial for conditions like acne and eczema.

Aqua, Cyclomethicone, Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Titanium Dioxide, Paraffinum Liquidum, Dimethiconol, CetylPEG/PPG-10/1 Dimethicone, Sodium chloride, Menthol, Isopropyl myristate, Allantoin, Diazolidinyl Urea, Xanthan gum, Fragrance, Vitamin E Acetate, L-glutathione.

My overall opinion:

Aside from it being a sunscreen with SPF 50+. You can use it as a foundation if you into looking pale white. I like the glow effect it gives me, and goes well with wearing makeup. Makes the makeup show well. And the cooling sensation is refreshing and unique. Will I buy it again? Not really, because like I said it gives you a whitening pale tune. And that’s not my go-to look regarding skin color and tune. Otherwise, it is a good sunscreen. Click here if you wanna try it.

For those like me who prefer a colorless sunscreen, Shangpree is an absolute gem!
