Elvive Hyaluron moisture is based on Hyaluronic acid, which has become a holy grail ingredient in the beauty world for the past few years, and for good reason. It is a natural ingredient that our bodies produce to keep themselves hydrated and youthful. Because of this, it has been added to cosmetic procedures, skincare, oral supplements, and now L’Oréal’s haircare product line of Elvive Hyaluron moisture. Let’s see how it turned out:

Elvive Hyaluron Moisture Description and Packaging:

The Elvive Hyaluron moisture set was launched in early 2024 and quickly became trendy as it was the first hair care product to contain hyaluronic acid. I purchased the Elvive Hyaluron shampoo and Elvive Hyaluron conditioner at a local store for $10. The packaging is lavender and you can choose different sizes of the shampoo based on your preference. For instance, you can purchase a 400ml shampoo and a 200ml conditioner if you tend to finish the shampoo before the conditioner.

Elvive Hyaluron MoistureIngredients and Features:

Elvive Hyaluron contains the following key ingredients:

  • Hyaluronic Acid: attracts and retains moisture
  • Glycerin: locks in moisture
  • Ceramides: maintain a protective barrier

One unique feature of this product is its delightful scent, which evokes feelings of nostalgia, cleanliness, and refreshment and lingers long after showering. Both the shampoo and conditioner are lavender in color. The shampoo lathers well, and the conditioner has a creamy but non-oily texture.

Usage:

After dampening my hair, I usually put three pumps of the Elvive Hyaluron shampoo into an empty bottle, add a little water, shake it, and then apply it to the scalp of my hair, massaging with my fingertips. I try to avoid scratching with my nails to prevent chemicals from entering my bloodstream. I also avoid applying it to the ends of my hair, as oil and dirt do not build up there. And it dries out hair ends. Then, I thoroughly wash it off with water, leaving my hair feeling clean.

Next, I apply two pumps of Elvive Hyaluron conditioner to the palms of my hands and distribute it all over the ends of my hair, avoiding the scalp. After waiting a few minutes, I wash it off, and while doing so, massage my neck and back with the conditioner residue. This leaves my hair feeling soft and smooth.

Claims and result

L’Oréal Elvive claims to solve dry hair problems, provide hydration, and lock in moisture for 72 hours. Remove frizz and make hair smooth, and silky and shine with radiance.

I used it for 40 days and this is my experience with it:

I’ve tried this product and although it claims to hydrate hair for 72 hours, I found that it only kept mine hydrated for the first two days. However, since I usually wash my hair every other day, this isn’t a problem for me. If you have high porosity hair, it might work better for you. It also makes the hair smoother and softer without weighing it down or making it greasy, which is important because no one wants heavy hair on their scalp. Additionally, it gives volume to flat hair. Will I buy it again? Yes, but this time I’ll probably try the Elvive Hyaluron plus plump version. I’m curious to see how it compares.
