This post is all about Focallure StayMax liquid lipstick. I’ll discuss my experience with three shades of this liquid lipstick.

Yet another post about Focallure Brand products, This time when I asked my sister to get me new lipstick when she went shopping, She got me three shades of Focallure StayMax liquid lipstick, The shades are 04 Mauritius, 05 Santorini, 06 Tahiti, I don’t know if she picked these based on her preference for the colors or just based on the numeric order. 04 has a peachy orange shade, 05 has a reddish warm pink shade, and 06 has a cold pink shade. My favorite one is 06 because it compliments my skin’s cold undertone. The other two suit warm skin tones, If you have that. I will be talking in detail about all the aspects of these below:

Packaging:

Focallure StayMax is a drugstore liquid lipstick, so nothing out of the norm about this one, It is a clear thick short cylinder tube, and you can see the lipstick shade through the tube which helps with shade selection because it is the same on the lips. There are 19 shades of this liquid. As for the applicator, it is a slanted doe-foot shape with soft fibers, but I wish it was more thick. Excuse me if they look kinda not so neat, It is because I have been using them for so long.

Ingredient:

Focallure StayMax contains moisture natural ingredients like Jojoba Oil, Shea Butter, and Vitamin E. I love and preach on all these as a natural ingredient girlie.

As for lab chemical products, they are:

CAPRYLYL METHICONE、CYCLOTETRASILOXANE、CYCLOPENTASILOXANE、SILICA、POLYETHYLENE、CAPRYLIC/CAPRIC TRIGLYCERIDE、ETHYLHEXYL PALMITATE、POLYBUTENE、SQUALANE、POLYGLYCERYL-2 TRIISOSTEARATE、CERA MICROCRISTALLINA、TOCOPHEROL、CAMELLIA JAPONICA SEED OIL、PARFUM
May contains:
CI 77891、CI 77491、CI 77492、CI 77499、CI 15850、CI 45410、CI 15985

Features:

My personal experience gives me these thoughts about Focallure StayMax:

  • Color: The pigmentation is rich, one swipe gives full coverage and intense color. So be careful with it if you want a soft look.
  • Smell: I didn’t really like the scent, it doesn’t have a specific bad odor, just a little plastic odor.
  • Texture: The texture is liquid and creamy, but quite heavy and sticky
  • Finish: When I first applied it, it gave me a sticky feeling, but once dried, it was soft and matte.
  • Longevity: It stayed on my lips without wear for 5 hrs, and needed a touch-up after 7hrs.
  • Affordability: It is a drugstore brand, so this lipstick is pretty affordable.
  • Cruelty-free

Application:

The head comes with a slanted doe-foot tip applicator, It makes it pretty easy to apply on the lips, but if you want a very sharp neat edge, it is better to use a thin brush to draw the lip line with the liquid lipstick, then feel in with the applicator.

If you want a more glossy look, add some vasline, it also gives moisture. But if you want a more matte look add some translucent powder.

Final Feels:

Most of the things that the Focallure StayMax description on its page claims are true, Except that the finish is not matte, actually it is kinda shiny. And it feels kinda sticky at the beginning. Other than that everything else is true, but personally, I won’t be buying more of this one from Focallure, I am actually more of a fan of Focallure Duo Lips&Cheeks.
