This post is a detailed review of the Focallure True Matte Lip Clay #304 lipstick.
Packaging
The packaging of this focallure lipstick is pretty unique and sophisticated. It comes in a white tube with the word “clay” written randomly everywhere, including the cap. You’ll have to open it to see which colour you’re getting, but it is the same as the colour of the words written. The applicator is pretty cool and soft. It contains 2.5 ML of product.
Features
The texture is fantastic because it delivers on its promise of being a velvet matte, as stated on the package. Unlike many other matte lipsticks, it doesn’t dry out my lips but instead feels soft and moisturizing. In terms of consistency, it can feel heavy if you apply it in one swipe, so I recommend using a single swipe to cover all your lips, as it’s quite pigmented.
In terms of longevity, this focallure lipstick doesn’t turn patchy, which is great. However, it does smudge if you’re the type of person who touches their face a lot. Apart from that, it is water-resistant and lasts for up to 7 hours, even with eating, but it does loose contrast.
The scent is not strong, almost fragrance-free, which is great for people who don’t want to smell their lipstick all the time. Also, it does not have a taste.
The colour is the same as the colour of the words on the package. It is dark red with a warm undertone, and when blended well, it doesn’t lose colour, just contrast.
Application
For full coverage, apply the product directly from the applicator to your lip borders and fill in the lips.
for a blurred Korean look, apply the applicator to the inner border of the lip and then smudge it out to all your outer lips with your fingertips.
Overall
I really like it overall. The colour of this focallure lipstick is great and I love how it feels on my lips – it’s soft and light with a velvet touch. Plus, I appreciate that it’s fragrance-free. I’ll definitely be purchasing more shades soon, especially because I love the aesthetically pleasing packaging.
This is another item from the same brand I previously reviewed.
