In this post, I’ll explain why I think NO.7 Beautiful Skin is one of the best eye-makeup remover.
Overview of Eye-Makeup Remover: No.7 Beautiful Skin
Although I’m not a big fan of eye-makeup removers because I have annoyingly sensitive skin and eyes, I admit that sometimes cleansers simply don’t remove stubborn eye-makeup like mascara and glitter effectively. This can be a problem if you’re a sparkle lover like me. But it says that it is hypoallergenic, so let’s see how it goes!
Packaging:
This eye-makeup remover comes in a transparent plastic bottle with a white flip-top. The packaging is simple and practical—nothing fancy about it. However, the eye makeup remover liquid itself is quite beautiful. It resembles little blue bubbles floating in blue liquid, reminiscent of the ocean, which I like. The size is 100ml, and it can be used for up to 6 months after opening. It is made in the UK.
Features:
The No7 Eye-Makeup Remover has these major features that I have noticed:
- texture: obviously it is liquid, but has an oily texture to it. which goes away with the application.
- Formula: it’s gentle and non-irritating, As someone with sensitive eyes, I truly appreciate this. It is suitable for even the most sensitive eyes.
- finish: When I first applied it to my eyes, I was skeptical about the finish because it felt a bit oily and greasy. However, after a few minutes, that sensation disappeared, and it felt smooth and clean.
- does-its-job: It efficiently removes waterproof mascara; however, for glitter, it did remove most of it, though one sparkle remained. I’m not a perfectionist! Fingers crossed!
- Fragrance: although it says fragrance-free, it definitely has a fragrance to it, but not a bad one. It smells kinda like glycerin
here in the left picture, you can see I used the eye-makeup remover on my left eye only so that you can see the difference. As you can see the mascara is all gone, but the white glitter remains a little bit of it.
Ingredients:
Aqua (Water), Isohexadecane, Cyclopentasiloxane, Cyclohexasiloxane, Glycerin, Butylene glycol, Methylparaben, Sodium PCA, 2-Bromo-2-nitropropane-1,3-diol, CI 42090 (Blue 1).
Application:
You can use these steps in applying any eye-makeup remover.
- Shake the bottle so that all the ingredients mix well.
- Apply to a Cotton Pad, you do not need to soak it, a few drops take you a long way.
- Place the pad on the eyelashes and eyelids, then let it set for a few seconds. Wipe it off from the lash line outward. Repeat if necessary.
- Rinse
- Then do your Skincare Routine.
Conclusion:
This was my first purchase of a product from this UK brand No7, and even though I really like my Garnier Micellar Rose Water for eye-makeup remover and makeup in general. I would still recommend this one for people who don’t really like the lathering feeling other removers have and instead want a more soft moisture finish.
